Bio
Stuart Williams is the Director and Owner of Midway Transitional Solutions Limited he is deeply passionate about giving back to the community and making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Stuart is heavily involved in shaping the company’s approach to learning and development, ensuring staff are fully supported to provide high-quality care and guidance.
Stuart obtained a HND in sustainable design and environmental management and previously worked in various other settings which failed to stimulate him. Stuart decided that he would pursue a career in working with vulnerable young people and make a difference. This resulted in Stuart moving into the residential and education sector where he worked with individuals which had Emotional Behavioural Difficulties for 4 years. Considering this was a new role for Stuart it didn’t stop him from excelling and was given various responsibilities such as site team instructor and coordinator, working within the school and supporting educational projects. Following this Stuart spent 2 years working in the leaving care sector helping care leavers transition into dependence. This gave Stuart the opportunity to develop his communication skills and work closely with various agencies and the different departments in order to meet set goals for the development of the service users. Stuart has volunteered for an organisation called Micro Anophthalmic Children's Society where Stuart supported individuals on activity weekends. Stuart’s drive and commitment towards supporting young people alongside his experience make him an invaluable member of the company. Beyond their professional role, Stuart is an active member of the local community.
Having worked in 3 of the sectors that Midway operates in Stuart has the insight to drive the company forward, raise awareness in potential problems before they arise and have a full understanding of the challenges faced by both the young people and the staff. Its for this reason that Stuart has a strong focus on the HR function of the company to support the staff for their own well being as well as the support the staff are able to give the young people.
