Lyncroft, Torfaen
Whilst living at Lyncroft the children and young people can receive several services identified as being required to fully meet their needs. The home is set out so that children and young people who live at Lyncroft live in a homely environment. The home gives the child or young person the opportunity to live as a small family like unit within a residential community.
Services
- A health plan that is regularly updated and is overseen by the manager
- Appropriate therapeutic interventions if identified from suitably qualified personnel
- The preparation and provision of an integrated care package, tailored to individual needs, to include full risk assessments
- The development of pathway plans for children over 16 focusing on life skills, further education and career aspirations
- Support in maintaining mainstream school, PRU, or college attendance
- Preparation of future placements, prior to discharge from the home
- Encouragement and support in developing their own interests and activities within the local community
Two Separate Bedrooms
Two separate bedrooms with individual locks and a staff bedroom
Dining Area
One large communal dining area for staff, children and young people to sit and have meals together
Lounge
One lounge for children, young people and staff to sit, and to relax in the evenings and weekends to chat and watch TV
Family Bathroom
One upstairs family bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and sink
Downstairs Bathroom
One downstairs bathroom with shower, toilet and sink
Front Garden
Front garden with driveway. Large back garden with patio area accessed by double French doors. Two lawns and converted shed with gym equipment
