Bio
Martyn Powell is the Director and Owner of Midway Transitional Solutions Limited, where he leverages his extensive background in finance and the Children's Care sector to promote the company’s mission of providing exceptional care and support for children and young people.
A graduate of the University of the West of England, Bristol, Martyn earned a Biomedical Degree with Honors in 2002. After obtaining his financial advice credentials, he founded his first business in 2006, specializing in the financial sector. His expertise has been instrumental in the growth and development of Midway, particularly in establishing a Leaving Care support service in 2016, launching the company’s first children’s residential homes in 2018 and setting up GATE in 2024 an alternative education provision dedicated to supporting looked-after and vulnerable children.
Martyn is deeply committed to giving back to his local community. He shares his financial expertise with a local children's football club, which operates entirely on volunteer support. His dedication to service and community engagement reflects the ethos of Midway Transitional Solutions, where Martyn's experience, knowledge, and kind-hearted nature continue to inspire the organisation’s approach to care.
