Residential

Midway Transitional Solutions offer supportive and individualised packages. It’s our aim to offer a homely environment within a specialised children’s home setting, with a highly experienced and motivated team, who will work closely with the young people to support them to integrate successfully into society. At Midway TS we believe that all young people should be given the same opportunities in life regardless of their experiences, disability, age or sexuality.

The home can accept short, medium and long term placements which includes children and young people with mental health issues and secure step down. We can also offer emergency placements only if the mix and dynamics are assessed and there is no potential effect on the current placement.

By providing services that meet existing or outstanding health care needs and facilitate future good health care. Midway TS will work with CAMHS, Counsellors, Psychologists and other health care professionals to ensure the full support is given to the child or young person and the Link worker will keep the manager fully informed of any changes to the support given.

By working in collaboration with the statutory services to provide good educational opportunities and support, enabling the young person to address educational shortfalls and promote ongoing educational achievement. The staff will attend meetings with the children and young people to support them and address the educational issues. They will work with the school, PRU or social worker in order to find the most appropriate education for the individual child or young person. This will be recorded in their PEP and updated as necessary.

Outreach Support

Here at Midway Transitional Solutions we believe in providing a service to all local authorities tailored to the individual needs of the service user and we aim to provide this service at a reduced cost for the local authorities.

We understand the complexity of the needs required by the service user. Our highly trained and motivated staffing team will support the services user in achieving a realistic set of goals. We therefore appreciate the role that the staff play in the service user’s development and as a result we offer an extremely competitive employment structure which will attract a more experienced, motivated and qualified work force.

All package support plans will be individually assembled with input from ourselves, social services and any other agency that has an involvement with the young person. Each package will be uniquely tailored to the individual, which will be determined via the referral and through conversations with the person making the referral.
